It might feel like you’re never on the same page. One feels their partner wants sex all the time, the other that their partner is “never” interested. You might want sex to feel connected, while your partner wants connection before having sex.

When couples arrive in my office, they often feel as though they’re seeing things from completely different perspectives.

I take the time to align with both of you so we can figure out what each person wants in their relationship, and make a plan to get there. You’ll gain new skills to communicate more deeply and build a better understanding of each other’s feelings so you can rebuild intimacy and strengthen your connection--both inside and outside the bedroom.

Let’s talk about sex

Many of us grew up learning that sex is private, and not something to discuss openly. Unfortunately, this can leave us struggling in isolation, wondering if our experiences are “normal,” and feeling lost about how to make things better.

In my practice, we work on the mental and emotional aspects of sex-related issues.

There are a wide range of concerns that can impact sexuality and relationships. Whether it’s low desire, sexual trauma, performance anxiety, sexual orientation, porn, erection and orgasm difficulties, questions about open relationships, or struggles to regain a sex life after becoming parents, we can only effectively navigate our sexual issues and questions if we take the time to reflect and communicate deeply--with our partners and with ourselves.

I have a PhD in Human Sexuality and have spent nearly two decades learning everything I can about intimacy and how people connect.

My therapy space is safe, supportive and accepting. Together, we’ll unpack your sexual questions and concerns without judgment. We’ll work to loosen the shame and embarrassment many of us hold around sex so you can better understand and connect with your sexual self in a way that feels more authentic and, ultimately, more satisfying.

Whether you’re single, dating, or in a longer-term relationship, sometimes we just need a space, all to ourselves, to focus on our personal growth and goals.

People in relationships often come to my practice wanting to delve into their own sexual wants and needs, and find out how to communicate those openly to their partner. Some are looking for a private space to navigate tough decisions about their relationship's future or ways to strengthen it.

Folks who are single or dating often want to make sense of why a past relationship ended or consider what they want to do differently in the future.

Whether you want to focus on understanding attachment styles, enhancing communication, or embracing a truer understanding of your own sexuality, we can work together to help you bring a stronger, more integrated version of yourself to your relationships moving forward. Individual therapy helps us better understand not only ourselves, but also how we interact with our partners and what we ultimately want in our intimate relationships.
